Ephraim Fogg was elected tything man, field driver andpound keeper at town meeting in Princeton in 1831. He andSally moved with John Dudley late in 1832 to Waite, Maine;were first settlers. The old homestead and farm at Waiteare grown to a forest. Stones in the private burial groundare in shambles except that of Nathaniel. There are norecords, just hearsay from descendants.

NOTE: The following history of the area would beinteresting to read. I could not find a copy online, probably too new a publication so still under copywrite.Might be helpful to other researchers to add to "Notes"just in case they have access to a library that carries thebook.

The book quoted in the SDB, "A Genealogy of the Spragues ofBaileyville, Maine..." reports that Ephraim was inPrinceton in 1831 and moved to Waite c1832.
The 1830 census shows Ephraim at Twp 17 which was anearlier designation for Princeton, written as T17 ED BPP(Twp 17 Eastern Division, Bingham's Penobscot Purchase).
There is a marvelous paper posted online re theunorganized territories of Washington county Maine. The pdfis 118 pages long and is only "marvelous" if one isinterested in Washington county geographic boundaries.. Ithought you might like to look at it briefly.

A tiny bit of history re South Princeton. Three ofEphraim's children were b in the 1820s with theirbirthplace listed as South Princeton. It is clear Ephraimwas in the Princeton area in the 1820s but the districtdesignated South Princeton was not named until 1836. Iwould say if they knew the area the family lived in waslater called South Princeton, it is too close to call. Iwould just leave the records the way they are.

At a meeting held September 30, 1836, it was voted that theroad from Moses Sprague to the Houltron road be cut andgrubbed this fall. This is what is now called the SouthPrinceton Road.
page 32
Speaking of districts, at the meeting held April Fool's dayin 1839 the town was again divided into districts, thenumber being increased from two to three. District Number 1comprised the "Southern Settlement" (South Princeton;Number 2 comprised lots on Houlton road [now Hwy 1] fromthe river to Lewy's Island down to the northwest line ofLot Number 12 (near Glidden's, then Haley's); and Number 3comprised the lots on said road from the southeast line ofLot Number 11 down to the Baileyville line. The effect ofthis was to set off South Princeton by itself. [1]
