Notes |
- From Jane Sanderman Mason, correspondent, note of November23, 2019
J. E.'s father was Samuel James Hicks. In 1910 he reportedhe was mx2. Although there is some variation in dates inthe various census, I believe J. E. and brother George H.were children with Samuel J.'s 1st wife (I have no info reher) and that daughter Ella was with 2nd wife, Adelia.
I also think the 1st wife died young and the children wereraised by 2nd wife Adelia.
Daughter Ella (who I believe is a half-siblings of J. E.and G. H.) died in 1895. Her son Samuel is found livingwith maternal grandparent's, the Samuel J. Hicks.
