Edward "Ted" Boniface
Edward Boniface, a lifetime area resident, died Saturday,July 8, 2006 at the age of 85. The son of Alfred and EdytheBoniface, he was born Nov. 5, 1920 in Roosa Gap, N.Y.
He is survived by his beloved family: his wife DorothyEstelle Goldsmith-Boniface; his children, Edward (Ted) J.and wife Barbara, Kenneth R. and wife Veronica, Thomas A.and wife Jean, Donna L. and husband Jack Dopp, Steven H.and wife Debbie, Holly A. and husband Michael Bodnar; hisbrothers and sisters, Robert and Rosemary Boniface, HelenEklund, Mary Bruno, Rhoda Murphy, Lily and Ben Babcock,Barbara Burton and his twin brother Richard Boniface andwife Shirley; his 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren;nieces, nephews and good friends.
Edward was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas and JohnBoniface; his sister Ruth Gardiner; and great-grandsonAndrew Joseph Boniface.
He was proud to serve with the US Navy in World War II. Heand his wife founded Pine Bush Equipment Co., Inc. whichhas been run by four generations for over 50 years. Ted wasa member of the Pine Bush Fire Dept., the American LegionPost 1308, Pine Bush, the Elk's Club, BPOE 1097,Middletown. He was a pilot, sailor, heavy equipmentoperator and CEO of Pine Bush Equipment.
A family statement reads, "He was dedicated to his familyand enjoyed many happy times celebrating special occasions.Ted was a hard-worker who taught his children great familyand business values beyond measure. His most cherishedtimes were spent with his family and friends. In themoments before he left, his 31st great-granddaughter wasborn, reminding us that even in our moment of sorrow, liferenews and brings us joy."
The family would also like to thank all of Edward'scaregivers who have helped him over the years.
Family and friends are invited to call Thursday, July 13from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at William M. Gagan Funeral Home,Inc., 1525 Burlingham Road, Pine Bush.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 14 at 11a.m., with Pastor Robert B. Hewitt officiating at the samelocation.

Miss. Edith Howlings and Alfred Boniface Jr., both of RoosaGap, Sullivan County, were united in marriage at theparsonage of St. Paul's M. E. Church in this city onWednesday, September 17, the ceremony being performed bythe Rev. T. R. Wallace, Ph. D., pastor of the church.
They were attended by Mrs. Mary Howlings, mother of thebride, and Alfred Boniface, Sr., father of thegroom. The ring ceremony was used Mr. and Mrs. Bonifacewill make their future home at Roosa Gap.
