Mrs. Georgina Bentley - UPPER STEWIACKE, Feb 28 -Mrs. Georgina Bentley, widow of George T. Bentley of UpperStewiakce, passed away in the Colchester Hospital on Sundaymorning, February 23. She was 77. Daughter of the lateJames and Martha (Steele) Dunlap, she was born in OtterBrook and grew up there. Outside of a few years during herearly life in the United States, she resided in UpperStewiacke and other neighbouring Truro communities. Thelast few years she made her home in Hilden with her niece,Mrs. Laurie Bowman. She leaves to mourn an adopted son, theRev. Morley Bentley, Dartmouth; two sisters, (Margaret)Mrs. Harry O'Connell of Otter Brook; Miss Marianna Dunlap,R.N. of Miami, Fla., who came home for the last few days ofher sister's illness; one brother Hugh Dunlap, RhodeIsland, several nieces and nephews and great nieces andnephews. She was predeceased by her husband George Bentley,a daughter Rachel, in infancy, and two brothers Sedley andDonald. Always a great church worker, Mrs. Bentley was ofmember of the United Church and taught Sunday school inMiddle Stewiacke and Upper Stewiacke, also an active memberin Woman's Church Groups Mrs. Bentley will be longremembered for her visits to the sick and shut-ins. Herminister, the Rev. Allison MacLean, conducted the funeralservices at the Mattatall Funeral Home on Tuesday at 2 pm.The Upper Stewiacke choir, with Morris Blaikie as organist,led the singing of two hymns, "Unto the Hills" and "TheSands of Time are Sinking". Pallbearers were Frank Cox,Putman Fulton, Archie Bentley, John Gammell, Laurie Bowmanand Donald O'Connell. Friends and relatives attended thefuneral from Port Hawkesbury, Dartmouth, Amherst, Monctonand the Truro area. The floral tributes were many andbeautiful.
