Mrs. Edgar Williams, of 128 Mary street, died Sunday nightat 10:45 in the Ridgway Hospital.
She had been a patient at the hospital for eight weeks, andunderwent amputation of her left leg above the knee lastWednesday.
She died the day following her 68th birthday.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon from theresidence in charge of the Rev. C.C. Mohney, with intermentat Wardvale cemetery.
Mrs. Williams who was formerly Florence Nortum, was bornMarch 13, 1877 at Plumville, Indiana county, but lived heresince a small child. She was a member of the MethodistChurch and the W.C.T.U.
Besides her husband she leaves the following children, Mrs.Paul Stewart, Mrs. Paul Olay, Mrs. Claude Benson, Mrs.Eugene McGuire, Niagara Falls, N.Y., Alvin and Mrs. LaverneGorske at home; Leonard, Youngstown, Ohio, Milton and Mrs.Walter Nelson, Johnsonburg, also 25 grandchildren and
12 great-grandchildren.
There are the following brothers and sisters, Frank Nortum,Mrs. Leon Bedford, and Mrs. Percy Bedford, Johnsonburg.Mrs. Howard Sprague, Ridgway. Mrs. William Smith, NorthBend. Mr. Orrie Nortum, State of Washington. [1]
