Funeral Services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clockfrom the Ubel Funeral Home for Alvin E. Williams, 86 of 426Willow Street, who died Tuesday moning June 28th. The Rev.Howard W. Pierce
officiated, with burial in Wardvale cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Abplanalp, Lester Abplanalp, AlbertAbplanalp, Orin Gorske, James Jones, and John Wachob,grandchildren of the deceased.
He was born in Lock Haven, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.John Williams. He was a resident of Johnsonburg for over 70years and resided with his daughter, Mrs. Laverne Gorske(Lucille), for the past fourteen years. He was employed byBrahaney Distributors, Kestler Leather Company, BlackWorks, and New York and Pennsylvania Company. He had beenretired the past twenty-three years.
His wife Florence, preceded him in death April 1, 1945; twodaughters also preceded him, Stella, Mrs. Paul Olay, andDora, Mrs. Leo Sprague. Surviving are eight children,twenty-seven grandchildren, sixty-three greatgrandchildren. Many relatives and friends were here forthe funeral from Niagara Falls, N.Y., Cyclone, PA.,Bradford, St. Marys, Ridgway, and Johnsonburg.
