Phyllis Besemer Sprague, 81, of Highgate Circle, Ithaca,NY, passed away peacefully at the Hospicare Residence onFriday, April 07, 2017.
A Mass of The Resurrection will be celebrated by Fr. JosephMarcoux on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 2 pm at St.Catherine of Siena Church. Interment will follow at theCalvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a charity will beannounced in a complete obituary.

Sprague, Phyllis
Phyllis Besemer Sprague, 81, went to join her husband,David of 64 years on April 7, 2017. She died peacefullyafter a long illness. She was born in Ithaca, NY to thelate Herman D. Besemer and Carrie Marion Besemer.
She was a tirelessly devoted wife, mother, grandmother,great-grandmother and friend who was extremely talented ateverything she did. She was an accomplished quilter andbaker, known for her pies, cakes and Christmas goodies, andsomeone whose green thumb was the envy of every gardener.She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her seven children, Nancy Cleveland(Daniel), David, Lawrence (Dawn), Kathleen Suisman (Gary),James (Shannon), Carol (Timothy Bordoni), Lynn Bobb(William), 16grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Alsosurviving Phyllis are her sister, Lois Stout; her brother,Richard (Kathy) and her sister-in-law, Beverly. In additionto her parents, Phyllis was also predeceased by herbrother, Rodney Besemer; her sister, Joyce Stout (James);her daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Sprague (Zizzi) and hergrandson, Christopher Bordoni.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated by Fr. JosephMarcoux on Saturday, April 22nd at 2 p.m. at St. Catherineof Siena Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemeterywith a reception immediately after at the Fraternal Orderof Eagles, 161 Cecil Malone Dr., Ithaca.
