In an addendum called the "Colonial List", registered 7June 1943, Sprague, Jack Douglas, address Londonhouse, Guilford street, London W.C. 1; L.M.S. N. Scotia, P.M. Bd. 1939. I'd interpret this as being that he waslicensed by the medical society of Nova Scotia in 1939.

Notes |
- From Ralph Sprague, correspondent, note of November 27, 2008
He was the only Jack Sprague in the 1911 Canadian census
His schooling is in the Maritimes (probably DalhousieUniversity in Halifax)
If he was from Ontario or Québec he probably would haveattended the University of Toronto or McGill in Montréal
His family had a maid in 1911 so affording medical schoolmay have been possible

The image that the NS archives has clearly indicates thatthe dad was
"Henry Sprague". I'd assume it was an error.
On revisiting the 1911 census I'd clarify the really poorhandwriting whichconfuses first names. I'd suggest that in census order thefirst names are;Herbert, Lora, Hall, Gerald, Jack and John (the dad). IfHenry Sprague hadbeen John Hall's father, Henry would had to have marriedLaura, sired JohnHall, died and then Laura would have to have had to marryMalcolm. Ihaven't seen any evidence of that. I'm not dismissing it. Ijust think its
unlikely.
Found a marriage record for Laura and Malcolm. (His namehad beentranscribed as Spraque. The Nova Scotia records forCumberland county showthat Malcolm Herbert Sprague, Merchant, 29 bachelor married4 Oct 1905,Methodist ceremony in Springhill, Laura Catherine Hall, 29,spinster. Bothwere residing Springhill, NS at the time. She was bornSpringhill and he wasborn Southport, PEI. He was s/o John C (a merchant) andAmelia. She was d/o
William (a Mine Manager) and Catherine. [10]
