Mrs. Harry Weed Dies Following Lengthy Illness
Mrs. Grace Hughes Weed, 49, wife of Col. Harry D. Weed of112 Furman st., well-known leader in Syracuse philanthropiccircles, died at the God Shepherd Hospital at 2:30 a. m.Tuesday, after a long illness.
For years, she was president of the Rector's Aid of theTrinity Episcopal Church, but was oblidged to give up herofficership, bcause of continued ill health, several monthsago.
Mrs. Weed is survived by her husband, one son, Robert F.Weed, ob Bridgeport, Conn.; her mother, Helen M. Hughes,two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Ward, and Mrs. Clifford McElwain;and two brothers, Chester G. and George H. Hughes ofSyracuse.
The funeral will take place from the Trinity EpiscopalChurch, on Thursday afternoon at 2:30, and the Rev. Dr.Almon A Jaynes will officiate. Burial will take placein Myrtle Hill Cemetery. [2]
