Emma M (Dorn) Brown, 91, widow of Edward F., and alife-long resident of Jackson Hill Road, passed away onMonday, June 18, 2007, at Sunset Nursing and RehabilitationCenter, Boonville, where she had resided since May, 2005.
Emma was born on the Dorn family farm on the Dorn Road nearBoonville, on May 16, 1916, a daughter of Frank and BerthaMittenmaier Dorn. She attended rural school and thenBoonville High School. On September 24, 1934, Emma wasunited in marriage with Edward F. Brown in Lowville. Thecouple became the operators of Robert and Gertrude BrownFarm on Jackson Hill Road, retiring in 1974. After thatEmma was employed as a chambermaid at Headwater MotorLodge, Boonville. Mr. Brown died on November 1, 1984.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Boonville, and amember of the former church Altar and Rosary Society. Shegreatly enjoyed farming and loved her animals, especiallyher cats. She enjoyed cooking.
Her survivors include one son and daughter in law, CharlesR. and Marion Brown, Boonville, four grandchildren; Lori,and husband Christopher Campbell, Rome, Tammy, and husbandWesley Wendt, Hamilton, Cindy, and husband Donald Wiedmer,Marcy, Jeffrey Brown, Boonville, six great grandchildren;Zachary Wendt, Cydnee Wendt, Matthew Campbell, EvanCampbell, Dylan Wiedmer, Travis Wiedmer, one sister,Angeline Lord, Boonville, many nieces and nephews, and aspecial friend, Betty Pfendler, who made her home withEmma. She was predeceased by two brothers; Charles andLouis Dorn.
A prayer will be Thursday at 11:30 A.M. at the TrainorFuneral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, with a Massof Christian Burial at 12:15 P.M. at St. Joseph's Church,Boonville, with interment to follow in Boonville Cemetery.Calling hours are Wednesday 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to Boonville Fire Co.Ambulance Fund, P.O.
