C. E. DORN, 35, DIES AT HOME
BOONVILLE – Charles E. Dorn, 35, died Sunday, August 13,1850, at this home, 135 Ford Street. He had been in failinghealth for several years.
He had been in failing health for several years.
A native of Boonville, he was born Sept. 23, 1914, a son ofFrank and Bertha Mittenmaier Born.
On April 25, 1936, in St. Joseph's Church, he married theformer Elaine Marcy. The ceremony was performed by the Rev.Thomas F. McNeil.
He attended Boonville High School and formerly was employedat the Revere Copper and Brass Incorporated, Rome. Mr. Dornwas later associated with Arvin Shue in a local storebefore ill health forced his retirement.
Mr. Dorn was a member of St. Joseph's Church, the Knightsof Columbus, Holy Name Society, and had served as deputygrand knight of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Ronald, Wayne,David, and Francis; his parents, two sisters, Miss AngelineDorn, Boonville; and Mrs. Edward Brown, Boonville; abrother, Louis S., Sterling; two nephews and two uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 Wednesday at theTrainor Funeral Home, and at 10 o'clock at St. Joseph'sChurch where Rev. Robert P. Driscoll will celebrate arequiem high Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society will calltonight at 8 o'clock at the funeral home to recite therosary instead of Tuesday night at 8 o'clock. [2]
