Notes |
- From Ralph D. Sprague, correspondent, note of September 22,2011
Every time I see a Spragg event in Peterborough township Ithink Home Children
I cannot find a marriage register for Clara and George butI did find her in the 1901 Canadian census. She wasboarding with a Park family in Fenelon twp., Victoria, ON.The side bar indicated it was the village of Cambray whichis about 40 kms north west of Ontonabee township which isjust east of the city of Peterborough. She was 11, born 21May 1889, born England, to Canada 1900.
A public member tree has George dying in 1950 but has Claradying 22 Aug 1915. There is a death cert for a JennieRichardson, 24, dying 22 Aug 1915 in Nicholls Hospital ofan abdominal abscess. She was born England and a marriedhousewife but other than that I can't confirm it is Clara. There is no mention of who her parents were and theinformant was not her husband. The register was forAsphodel township, Peterborough county. (a possibleexplanation for the first name of Jennie could be that shewas living in the same general area as her sister Jeanieand the registrar confused the names) [2]
